You can earn points before registering, but membership registration is required to redeem them.
When registering, use the same service (LINE or App) where you first earned points. Registering via a different route may create a duplicate account.
The registration form is in Japanese. Please note the following before completing your registration:
- Name (kanji / 漢字): Switch to "全角英数" on your keyboard. Latin alphabet is accepted if you do not have a kanji name. Full-width alphabet is accepted — e.g. SMITH JOHN
- Name (phonetic / カナ): Switch to "カタカナ" on your keyboard. Full-width katakana is accepted — e.g. スミス ジョン
- Date of birth / Prefecture: Select from dropdown
- Password: 10–14 characters, must include both letters and numbers
- Security question: All options are in Japanese — choose any and set an answer you will remember
- Email address and security answer can be entered in standard Latin characters

The following are not eligible for points: gift cards, Tosho Cards (book gift cards), shipping fees, and exam application fees.

Once registered, you have access to your personal Member Menu and the following:
- Check your points balance anytime
- Birthday month: double points on all purchases
- Gold rank: double points for the following month — earned by spending ¥10,000 (tax-excluded) within a calendar month
- Enter author signing events, giveaways, and exclusive campaigns
- Notifications on special offers
- Same login for Kinokuniya Webstore and Kinoppy

Standard rate is 1 point per ¥100. Extra points apply during campaigns.

Points earned in a given year expire on December 31 of the following year.
Example: Points earned in 2025 → expire December 31, 2026.
Your expiring balance is printed on your receipt and can also be checked in the Points App or via the Member Menu on the Webstore.
If your account has not been used for 3 consecutive years, it will be deactivated. A new registration will be required.
Your member number is shared across LINE, the Points App, the Webstore, and Kinoppy.
If you earned points before registering, please register through the same service where you first earned them. Registering via a different route (e.g., Webstore) will create a separate account.

If you have ended up with duplicate accounts, please contact us to request a merge:
