Join us for an evening of haiku reading with Andrew Fitzsimons and Masaya Saito!
Both are poets themselves, and will be talking about and reading from works by the well-known Basho and Saito Sanki, the latter a twentieth-century haiku poet who was silenced later for his anti-war sentiments.
For anyone interested in Japanese literature and poetry, and how they are translated into English, this is a great opportunity to experience haiku and learn about the choice of words that transcends time.
